Original Sold, Prints Available

This painting depicts a Native American mother and daughter gathering the fruit of the cacti.  The women of the tribe would gather the fruit by stabbing it with a long stick and cutting it off with a knife.  This fruit is commonly referred to as prickly pear or cactus fruit.  Prickly pear was used to make jellies and used in dyeing fabrics.  The original is sold. Prints are available HERE.
